Meet our Members

Lee

Meet Lee: “When life gets hard, find a new path”

Lee recently moved into his own apartment and is learning many new skills. He works at a local grocery store and enjoys meeting all the customers. He volunteers in his community and is most proud of all that he has learned to manage the household and keep his employment. He is an active member on CLV’s board. Lee believes that Self Advocacy is important because you learn the skills to speak up for yourself and other new things. Lee hopes his future includes lots of travelling.


Susan

Meet Susan: “Treat everyone with respect”

Susan is proud to be living independently in her own apartment with support from the Supported Apartment Living program. She attends a community inclusion program after recently retiring from her job at Old Navy. She enjoys passing time with TV, movies, exploring on her Ipad and joining her friends for lots of activities. She is a passionate speaker about rights and responsibilities and hopes to make a difference in her role as an Ambassador for CLV.


Dianne

Meet Dianne: “I feel like I am living the lottery and want others to have that same feeling”

Dianne is so pleased to be a part of the Supported Apartment Living program that offers her support as well as all the independence she wants. She loves participating in all the activities that include travel, movies, hobbies, crafts, social nights and so much more. She is always surrounded by friends, and family and has recently retired from her volunteer position at Silver Thread after 10 years. Dianne is an active member on CLV’s board. Being a member of the Advocates and Ambassadors group is important to Dianne as she feels it is a way to give back to CLV, her second family!


Meghan

Meet Meagan: “I am special and my voice matters”

Meagan is an active member of CLV’s CAP program and works at a local spa. She enjoys living with her busy and fun Home Share family and loves a great puzzle! She volunteers at a daycare doing laundry and playing with the children. Being a part of Advocates and Ambassadors group is important to Meagan because she is proud to be an advocate for CLV and other people with disabilities.


Jenna

Meet Jenna: “Never about me, without me”

Jenna has been involved with CLV for many years. She participates in several groups and activities in CLV alongside living in a CLV home share. Jenna is a passionate advocate for herself and others in the community. She has education in Social Work, love photography and great TV shows.
