Society for Students with Disabilities (SSD) to invite you and your network to our Week of Welcome: Disability, Advocacy and Community, running from January 18th-22nd. This free and drop-in style event at the university is open to anyone with an interest in inclusion, disability and accessibility. Check out the ‘Inclusive Activism’ day on Wednesday, January 20th. In addition to a presentation from Together Against Poverty Society on policies and legislation impacting on persons with disabilities, they will be hosting a community discussion on the state of disability here in our city. The main focus in this conversation will be on existing barriers to a fully inclusive and equitable community. During this discussion, persons who identify as having a disability are encouraged to take a leading role in the discussion.

For more information about the Inclusive Activism Day on Wednesday January, 20th view the PDF here.
