Supported Living
Independent Living
Community Living Victoria provides people with an intellectual disability the resources they need to live in their own homes successfully, with support from two to four hours per week and assistance in identifying personal goals and objectives. Independent Living services are for adults who can mostly manage on their own with limited weekly support.

Supported Apartment Living
Community Living Victoria provides assistance to people with an intellectual disability who require regular access to various support services in order to live independently in their own apartment. Individuals rent their apartment within one larger apartment complex. This program includes a staffed apartment as a common use area for group social activities and program planning.

Community Homes
Community Living Victoria has sixteen homes that provide 24 hour support to 60 individuals. These homes are well established in neighborhoods throughout Greater Victoria and provide caring and supportive environments that help people live as independently as possible. All of the individuals in our homes have many opportunities to enjoy inclusive lives and be active in their communities.
Home Sharing
Home Sharing enables adults with intellectual disabilities to choose an environment that addresses their specific needs and desires. Each home sharing arrangement varies depending on the unique needs and lifestyle preferences of the individual. Home Sharing increases the opportunity for people to establish natural relationships and social connections within their community. Individuals might live with a family, roommate, couple, or in their own suite within a family home.
Who are the Home Share Providers?
Home Share providers are people who have opened their home to provide support to an individual with an intellectual disability. They come from a variety of backgrounds and represent the cultural and ethnic diversity that makes Victoria a community. Regardless of background, all Home Share providers are committed to the principles of community living and strive to create an inclusive community for everyone. Depending on the needs and wishes of the individual, Home Share providers can assist with relationship building, life skills, meal preparation, personal care, and community access.
CLV is committed to finding the best match possible. Some individuals have specific care providers in mind, while others require assistance to find a suitable match. The individual is able to choose a care provider who best suits their support needs and lifestyle preferences. All Home Share providers undergo an extensive home study process. Only those who are committed to fostering a true home environment will be considered.
