Land Acknowledgment
Community Living Victoria respectfully acknowledges the lək̓ʷəŋən peoples on whose traditional territory we provide services, as well as the Songhees and Esquimalt Nations, whose enduring relationships with this land continue today.
Our Commitment to Diversity
At CLV, we weave our commitment to diversity into every aspect of our daily work. We recognize and embrace the unique identities of all individuals—including race, ethnicity, religion, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, and Indigenous status—and understand that this diversity enriches our community and strengthens the person-centered supports we provide.
We strive to reflect this diversity across our membership, board of directors, employees, supported individuals, families, practicum students and volunteers.
Our policies and practices promote respect, equity, and inclusion by fostering cross-cultural communication, challenging biases, and creating an environment where everyone feels valued and empowered.
Through ongoing training, resource development, and culturally responsive approaches, we ensure our services are accessible, safe, and respectful.
By embedding diversity and cultural competence into our daily practices, CLV fosters a welcoming, fair, and inclusive community where every person experiences dignity, belonging, and support tailored to their unique strengths and preferences.
