We launched our new Strategic Plan and refreshed our mission, vision and values.
Our updated plan sets a bold direction for the future, focusing on housing, funding, workforce development, technology, and collaboration. Every initiative reflects our new mission to empower people to enhance their quality of life through self-determination and our refined values of inclusion, support, and belonging.
We launched our new website.
I’m confident you’ll agree that our redesigned website offers a fresh appearance, while also enhancing inclusivity and accessibility to better showcase our services and organization.
We purchased a new accessible home to replace McKenzie.
This new rancher will offer safe, accessible housing for the people currently living at Mckenzie. We are in the process of renovating the home with the goal of the individuals moving into the home in the spring of 2026. This new home will enable the people currently living at the Mckenzie to enjoy a fully accessible home where they can age gracefully in place.
We celebrated 70 years of inclusion.
CLV marked its 70th anniversary with community events honoring families, staff, and partners who make inclusion possible every day.
We invested in our employees training.
focused staff development on two areas: Musculoskeletal Injury (MSI) Prevention and Leadership Development.
MSI Training: We provided training on safe handling, ergonomics, and injury prevention to reduce workplace injuries and maintain WorksafeBC compliance.
Leadership Development: Our training enhanced our leadership team’s skills in communication, conflict resolution, decision-making, and coaching to enhance organizational culture.
Thank you to all of the people we support, our incredibly dedicated staff team, board of directors, foundation board members, volunteers, sponsors and funders. Your commitment to the people we support, and the organization ensures that CLV remains a vibrant and vital part of our community.
