This past year at Community Living Victoria, we have made meaningful progress in the areas that matter most to the people we support and our broader community. Everything we do is grounded in a simple belief: that every person deserves to live a life of choice, belonging, and dignity. Thanks to the support of our community, we are able to keep moving that vision forward.
Strategic Plan in Action
With your support, we are making progress in areas that help strengthen housing, our workforce, community support, technology, and collaboration:
- Housing: Over the past year, we have worked diligently to prepare plans and a proposal for BC Housing to build a 60-unit affordable apartment building on CLV’s Cedar Hill site. While funding is not currently available, we are ready to move forward as soon as opportunities reopen. We are also celebrating an important milestone: individuals living at McKenzie Home will soon move into a new, fully accessible home. Designed with key accessibility features, this home will help ensure people can age in place with comfort, dignity, and stability.
- Workforce: We are investing in our people by recruiting, training, and developing a strong team to provide high-quality, person-centred supports.
- Funding: We are strengthening sustainability by growing community support and broadening revenue sources so we can continue to meet people’s needs into the future.
- Technology: Enhancements to digital tools and systems are improving efficiency and helping us stay connected and responsive in the way we provide support.
- Collaboration: We are building strong partnerships and sharing knowledge across the sector to strengthen supports and encourage innovation. These efforts also help support quality, accountability, and strong service across all programs.
Connecting with Community
- Moss Street Market: Visit us every other Saturday to learn more about our work and shop handcrafted wood products generously donated to CLV. Every purchase directly supports our programs and services.
- 3rd Annual Car Show: Please join us on August 22 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at 3861 Cedar Hill Cross Road for a fun, family-friendly day sponsored by the Walter P. Chrysler Car Club. There will be live music, a barbecue, and CLV swag for sale. Admission is by donation, and all proceeds will support CLV programs and services.
